Adam Werner is a master of the progressive fingerstyle guitar, known for weaving technical complexity with deep, cinematic emotion. Based in Los Angeles, Werner’s career has been defined by a relentless push toward the boundaries of the acoustic genre, earning him a reputation as a visionary composer and an award-winning producer.

The Legacy

Werner first captured the industry’s attention with his debut label release, Signatures (2006/2008), which stood as a contender for Best New Age Album at the 2008 Grammy Awards. He further solidified his mastery with the 2017 album Deep. A sonic triumph, Deep earned Werner and co-producer Adam Howe the Independent Music Award (IMA) for "Best Instrumental Music Producer," with critics hailing it as a peak of atmospheric storytelling. His track "Sage & Sand (for Tristan)" also garnered a 2018 HMMA nomination, cementing his place among the genre's elite.

The Resurrection & Return

After surviving two near-fatal accidents between 2018 and 2022, Werner underwent a profound hiatus. Through a transformative process he calls "My Journey Back... A Creative Alchemy," he has returned to the instrument to create the most personal music of his career.

In 2026, Werner comes full circle with his influences. His new single, “The Hill in Windham,” features legendary collaborators Will Ackerman and Michael Manring. This landmark release honors the Windham Hill legacy while marking Werner’s triumphant return as a survivor and an artist.

Milestones (2026)

March 20: Exclusive Release (Downloads) of “The Hill in Windham” (Available only at AdamWerner.com).

June 21: Global Release  of “The Hill in Windham” (Streaming) on all major platforms.

Touring: Live performances and tours being scheduled with Chris Yeaton and the Woodsong Acoustics Group.

The Silence has Ended!

After two near-fatal traumas in 2018 and 2022 that silenced my music for years, I am finally ready to share my "resurrection" with you.
My new single, "The Hill in Windham," is a tribute to the sounds that saved my life many times—first as a teenager navigating family trauma and again during my recent recovery.  I am beyond honored to be joined on this track by two legends who defined the genre:
   ~William Ackerman (Founder of Windham Hill Records) on guitar.
   ~Michael Manring (Windham Hill veteran) on bass.
This isn't just a song; it's a bridge from darkness back into harmony. Recorded in the classic Windham Hill spirit, it invites you into a space of acoustic purity and deep introspection.
